Hi, I’m Hannah

I’ve been hooked on gardening since growing my very first vegetable: “Little Gem” lettuce. Now, every plant is a “little gem” to me, a tiny treasure that somehow pops out of the soil to become something beautiful.

I started gardening for the vegetables and instead I discovered sanctuary. In the garden, time slows down to the seasons. From touching soil to encouraging seedlings, the edible garden dials you into the unseen rhythms and patterns of our wild world. It’s a feeling of peace that I wish to gift to every Little Gem client.

They say every garden is a reflection of its keeper. Within every gardener, there is a connection to the garden unique just to them. My goal is to unlock that connection within each Little Gem client. Together, I think we can make the world a more sustainable place, one garden at a time.

We love when gardening is a family affair and we can include children (and pets!) in our coaching sessions. When gardening with kids, we tailor our time together to engage their curiosity and involve them in the activities so they feel accomplished and excited in the garden. And if your children are furry, we love when they join us in the garden too!

After years of trying to figure things out by trial and error, bringing Hannah in to consult on my garden has been hugely informative. I really looked forward to our sessions together where I could finally troubleshoot both my perennial and vegetable gardens and learned some crucial things I wish I could have figured out years ago!
We reached out to Hannah because we were new to gardening and overwhelmed by our backyard - and wanted to get it into great shape before our wedding. She took it as a personal mission to help us and quickly grasped our vision and created a garden design that blended our favorite plants and those that would thrive around our yard. She then made sure to bring it all to life with a step-by-step installation process and help throughout (and plenty of pets for our very involved dog). It all came perfectly together for the wedding and we received so many compliments!
Working with Hannah and Little Gems has been an absolutely fantastic experience. Hannah’s love of plants is absolutely contagious and we’ve learned so much in the process. Her warm and welcoming personality makes it easy to garden with her - and we’ve become fast friends outside of the yard.
